Workplace Injury Triage

Workplace injuries and musculoskeletal symptoms can affect an employee’s ability to work, but not every presentation requires the same level of care.

Our Workplace Injury Triage & Assessment service provides employees with timely access to a physiotherapist for an initial assessment following an injury or the development of work-related pain.

Through telehealth, our physiotherapists assess the employee’s symptoms, functional capacity and workplace demands to determine the most appropriate next step.

This may include physiotherapy management, education and self-management advice, recommendations for workplace modifications, or referral for further assessment where required.

A clear pathway following assessment

Following the initial assessment, we can help determine whether the employee is suitable for:

• Telehealth physiotherapy and rehabilitation

• Exercise and self-management

• Workplace and ergonomic recommendations

• Further physiotherapy assessment or treatment

• In-person physical assessment

• GP or other medical review

• Urgent or emergency physical assessment where required

Where telehealth is not clinically appropriate, we can help facilitate access to an appropriate in-person service.
